A great start to December

I woke up this morning and there was SNOW. I am not talking the little flakes that we get but big flakes for Dallas. It will not stick but it was so much fun to wake up to snow this morning. I received two texts from people this morning about snow which was fun. So here is to enjoying the snow for the day.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving my mom invited over some family friends and we all enjoyed a great late lunch and watched the Cowboy game. Also, this weekend Ben and I are off to the SMU football game. I have a few friends in town and am having lunch with one of them today :)

A full weekend

This past weekend was fun. It all started off on Thursday evening with a fun bachelorette party. Then Friday, I went to a wedding rehearsal for my friend Beverly whose wedding I was in this weekend. After the rehearsal I was off to the rehearsal dinner and had a great time hearing all the toasts people had to say to Beverly and Dru. Then Saturday was a busy day. It started off with a bridesmaids luncheon. After that I went to get my nails and hair done for the wedding. The wedding was beautiful it was at St. Michael's church and then the reception was at the Dallas Museum of Art. I was in the house party for the wedding and my part was to hand out programs and sit with the house party during the wedding. When we finally arrived at the DMA for the reception Ben was waiting for me to get there. We had a great time listening to the band and talking to friends. We even stayed the whole time and left right after Beverly and Dru. It was so much fun being in the DMA and seeing how it was transformed from the everyday to a wedding reception.

Funny story

Today, while subbing at a local school, I heard a mom tell her older son to show his younger sister the school cafeteria while she was waiting for something in the school office. The little boy walks out into the hallway and points to the cafeteria and says to his sister, " That's the cafeteria", and then walks back with his sister. Meanwhile back in the office we are all laughing. Then the mom said, now if it was the girl she would go and show him where she sat and stuff like that. So it was funny to see a clear difference in boys and girls. The little girl said on the way back in the office, can I see the cafeteria? So the mom took them both to see it. So that is pretty funny

getting stuck

Today the funniest thing happened to me. I went to a luncheon for a friend who is getting married in November. In the morning I went home and my mom helped me zip up my dress so I would be ready to go. I went to the luncheon and got back around 3pm or so. Then, I realized that I was not able to un-zip my dress myself and so I was "stuck" in my dress. I did not know if I should cry or laugh or both, as it was rather frustrating. I called a few people and none of them were able to help me due to the fact that they were doing other things. Finally, I went to my neighbors house to help me with my dress, after about 2 hours of being stuck in my dress, I was finally able to get out of it. It was pretty funny I must admit. Lesson learned, always make sure someone is able to help you get out of the dress.
